Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize agreements with landowners who have mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Like a foreman at a construction site, they build roads, build housing (man-camps) where workers live, and oversee the assembly of drilling machinery and the drilling of wells, especially in remote locations.

Sheridan Smith and always a good theme song
Billy Bob Thornton is great as Tommy and I love finding out more about the workings of the oil industry, some strong characters are great as Jon Hamm and Demi Moore is inspired as his oil baron wife who is another tough guy, tough life because she is beautiful. I only have Paramount to watch his stuff and this show is on its way to being a top show thanks to Yellowstone.
I hope we don’t have to wait years for another series
Billy Bob’s Tommy is definitely a better actor or more like John Dutton.
