Dexter Morgan: I lived in darkness for a long time
he replaces his father in some shots, because the two look remarkably alike. Visible during the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later in the second season, the scar moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked.. Over the years my eyes adjusted, until darkness became my world and I couldn’t see..
Fortunately, "Dexter" absolutely delivers

I read Lindsay’s excellent books – Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter – some time ago, and when I heard there was going to be a series based on the books I was extremely excited. In fact, I was so afraid of disappointment just because my standards were so high.
Disturbing, certainly, but more than that – fascinating
The show maintains the uncomfortable atmosphere of the novel with greater fidelity than might be expected, and Dexter (played by Hall) is all there. The visuals from the series are stunning to say the least. Watching the series, it’s impossible to avoid finding a certain agreement within yourself for Dexter. He is a monster, and yet it is entirely possible to identify with him.
This one has a permanent spot on my DVR
