It tells the story of three completely different families who compete for the right to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that, in their opinion, will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano both appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present). I was surprised to see the show’s ratings drop so much, but it made more sense after seeing a bunch of reviews explaining how it didn’t make it after the first episode. The show is a slow-paced detective story that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it very funny and entertaining with the tone of Liz Feldman, which I like. I really liked the cast and everyone’s performances. At first, I wasn’t sure about Ray Romano because of my own prejudices (I couldn’t separate him from “Everybody Loves Raymond” for the life of me), but that happened very quickly. All the characters have their own side stories that make for a mess that gradually, if not completely, unfolds. By the last episode, I was pretty much hooked, even though I figured out the major twist of events pretty quickly. But I’m not mad about it. I’d love to see more of this show and I hope they get a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
