I saw this at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival
Bhutan’s culture is rarely mentioned in the media and all and this documentary is a fascinating, sweet and interesting exploration of the happiness levels of Bhutanese citizens with great conversations between key peers, interesting cultural aspects explored and exploring the human self.
Many of the discussions by Bhutanese peers are interesting as the discussions about their culture, struggles and self were interesting to listen to
Directors Arun Bhattarai and Dorottya Zurbo are able to capture the true essence of life of Bhutanese lifestyles and provide some really funny, bittersweet and touching interviews, discussions and footage.
Including singing, dancing, dialogues and all
Being the first Sundance film for this festival, what a good start!
I would recommend it to those who are interested in Bhutanese culture
