It follows three very different families who are competing for the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present). I was surprised to see the series rated as low as it is, but it made more sense when we saw a bunch of reviews explaining how they didn’t get past the first episode. The show is a mysterious slow burn that may not be for everyone. I personally found it funny and entertaining, given Liz Feldman’s tone, which I like. I really like the cast and everyone’s performances. I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano at first because of my bias (I couldn’t tell him from Everybody Loves Raymond for the life of me), but that faded away pretty quickly. All the various characters have their own side stories that form a tangled web of chaos that gradually, though not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty invested in the story, despite the fact that I solved the main plot very early on. I’m not mad about it, though. I’d love to see more of this show, and I really hope they get a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly — here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
