EnglishFollowing the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, attempts to take over the Gotham crime world. With the exception of the bat signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson appearance in “The Penguin.” In this short video, IMDb attempts to answer: Where the hell was Batman? Colin Farrell fought to have his version of the Penguin smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful. For his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.
Farrell STEALS this series
An umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Starring in Graham Norton and the Fans: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). He’s awesome.
The show is raw and graphic
There’s nothing about the character that even hints at Farrell. The New York dialect, the sway and the limp, the attitude: you’d swear he’s a different person. The amazing prosthetics are very realistic and add to the character. There’s nothing cartoonish about it.
Well-written and tense
It makes a great counterpart to Christopher Nolan’s Batman. In fact, I’d say it blows the Marvel lineup out of the water. I hope there’s a season 2, but I know it’s limited. It’s too bad.
