A family of ranchers in Montana faces off against others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned rodeo veteran. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and revert to the Southern California voice he normally uses. Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 Summer TV Shows That Aren’t on Your Radar (2018) Yellowstone is a solidly written drama—great characters, well-developed—that draws its tone from a few different modern masterpieces. It has the feel and cinematography of Longmire, the plot and dark perspective of The Sopranos, and the dramatic dynamics of shows like Dynasty or any other network drama like it. Much respect must be given to Costner and Cole Hauser—these guys bring it 100%. I didn’t expect to be drawn into this show the way I was. It’s worth your time.
